The Made in NZ Dual Ku LNBF Holder

Fitting instructions:

The dual LNBF holder is designed to be used on systems receiving Optus satellites B1 at 160 Degrees East and C1 at 156 Degrees East. This holder configures the LNBF's for vertical polarisation only.
This holder will fit Telsat supplied .6dB Noise Figure 12.25 - 12.75gHz 11.3gHz LO LNBF's (Part No KU1130) with no modification or where necessary minor modification i.e. Acer, Astrix, etc.
It is suitable for use with most KU dish types and sizes. It has been design tested on Triax and Hills supplied "off set" dishes of 850mm and 1.1M metre sizes. The B1 LNBF will obtain an additional gain of 2 to 3 dB over a single LNBF mounted in the same position without the holder. This favours the weaker ABC northern service transponder (66 dBuV is typical) and provides additional fade margin protection. Mounting

Mount two LNBF's on the holder as shown in the picture. Do not over tighten the "F" connector nuts or you will destroy the LNB. Ensure the LNBF's are parallel to each other and the heads in the same plane.
Mount the assembled LNBF's, and Plate, to the dish arm using the normal LNBF holder supplied, with the female "F" connectors pointing downwards. The LNBF holder must be connected to the right hand LNBF (as you face the dish from the front).

Connect your field strength meter to the right hand LNBF and a-line your dish to the Optus B1 satellite (76 dBuV is typical on the TV NZ transponder).
Connect your field strength meter to the left hand LNBF and move the LNBF slightly upwards to achieve maximum signal on Optus C1 (should be no more than 7 degrees from horizontal). (70 dBuV is typical).

Run two cables to satellite receivers or fit a Telsat DiSEqC Switch and programme receiver/s to the appropriate satellite port "A" or "B" or "1" or "2" as necessary.
Other satellite combinations are possible i.e. Ihug Internet systems on PAS 2 may be combined with B1 etc. Custom made holders may be supplied for these combinations upon request.
